FindingStone Creates "Find-A-Therapist"

August 1, 1998 -- FindingStone Counseling Center has created a web address which lists therapists from around the country.  Any person seeking therapy can use this list to determine if a therapist is suitable for their needs.  For the mental health professional, this Find-A-Therapist feature offers a chance for wider exposure in their area as well as throughout the US and Canada.

Various levels of membership have been created:

• Basic Membership allows a professional to list the name, address, and phone numbers
• Enhanced Membership affords the professional a chance to make a short statement about their services and their technique
• Custom Membership is equivalent to a mini web site for the professional

"Our objective here," says Judy Gifford, MA, Director, "is to provide a forum for contact between clients in need of assistance and professionals who can provide it.  Not every therapist is good at everything.  We each have our strong points and Find-A-Therapist attempts to highlight those for the client."
