October 23, 1998 -- FindingStone Counseling Center will offer, free to the public, a depression screening on the first Monday of every month. This screening is an outgrowth of the National Depression Screening Day (October 8, 1998). This screening involves taking a short test of 20 questions. The test is immediately graded and the results shared, confidentially, with the client.
"While one day a year may be enough," says Judy Gifford, MA, Director. "It is our experience that people only just find out about the National Depression Screening Day when it's over. With the concern in our society about depression and suicide, we at FindingStone wanted to offer a free service which might help people admit to depression or alleviate their concerns about depression."
This free monthly depression screening will be offered next on Monday, November 2, 1998. Screening will occur between 9:00 am and 4:00 pm at the FindingStone offices at 4450 N 12th Street, Suite 210, Phoenix. You may call 234-0541 for a screening appointment.
